Good week this week, first off, this saturday we have a baptism
planned for Angelica! :) I am super excited. We´ve been meeting with
her for about 2 months now, she just always has stuff happening and
people dying in her family so its been hard to get her to church. But
President promised us we could have a baptism this month, and now it
appears we are going to get just that. My first baptism! Just at the
end of my 2nd transfer... but still!
To answer mom´s questions,
1. I´m surviving but its really hot, and you have to drink a lot
or its really dangerous, but we survive. This week, was rough,
especially at night, I dont know why but I just couldn't sleep, with the
heat, and the mosquitos etc. Which brings us to question 2.

5. I actually did meet some good people this week, when I was on
divisions so I was leading the area with a Chilean who didn't speak
english and also didn't talk much, so it was up to me to do pretty much
all the talking. I was blessed witht the gift of tongues, because I had
several conversations, charlas cortas and 2 awesome lessons. One of the
ladies I contacted and gave a lesson named Claudia to came to church on
Sunday! She said that after we had left her house, she couldnt stop
crying. She just knows that this is what she is looking for. I told
her on Sunday that that was the spirit testifying to her that these
things are true. And that this is what god wants for her.
unfortunately she´s juntado, she´s living with her boyfriend, but they
are like husband and wife. She said she´s talked about getting married
but he doesn't want to. He is also an atheist, so he doesn't really
want to hear too much about the church. The image in your mind is that
he´s kind of a jerk but he´s actually a super cool guy, haha much to my
surprise. We are going there tomorrow, I´ll let you know how that goes.
It's the part of our area we can only go in the day which is hard cuz
she works, so hopefully all will work out. I´ll keep you posted.
6. Wednesday night futbol is working out just great, we are having
tons of people there, some of them actually think I´m goo, which is
neat. But yeah, turns out Claudia´s son (lady mentioned in question 5)
has been coming to futbol night, he just hasn't given us their
direction. So yeah, stuff with her so far is working out perfect. She´s
like one of those perfect investigators. I shouldn´t get too far ahead
of myself and jinx it cuz we´ve had 1 lesson and 1 church, but still.
Anyways, I got the ward news, turns out Nate Lamb is going to
Brazil!!!! Thats awesome! I love that kid. Someone give him a hug for
me. Also I got a letter from Dave Wright, I love him too. Also did
anyone give Vicki Bennet a hug for me yet?
Also, everyone is freaking out about how Russia is going to war
with the states or something? Whats up with that? Am I getting drafted
anytime soon? Also heard that they pulled all the troops out of Iraq and
stuff. I dont know what to believe. Just wondering...
Anyways, I also decided this week that im going to open up a kiosco
at our house when I get back... it seems to be the best way to make
money without actually doing anything... maybe from my window on the 2nd
story? We´ll finalize the plans later...
oh yeah I got a letter from the primary or something, I'm not
really sure but it had a note from Sister Herbert, Brother Jones, and 2
more that I cant remember (Sorry!), oh wait, Andrews, and someone
else... also got a christmas card from Heaps. That made me happy. Big
thank you to the Scott's for the tie and card and stuff too! Love
you guys!
I feel like I should have more to talk about... oh yeah, transfers
are next wednesday, by the looks of it, it seems like one of us is going
to get transferred, I'm not sure what im hoping for, but we´ll just see
what happens I guess.
Oh yeah i had interviews with President Carter this week. It was
really good. He told me I was working hard and that I need to focus on
love. I need to study up and reevaluate myself. so thats what I'm
doing right now.
We taught a family home evening yesterday at a family who is
struggling. We talked about the plan of salvation. It was really good
and the spirit was there, especially when we talked about the Atonement
of Jesus Christ. The plan of salvation really is such a blessing, I
love it and the comfort and hope that it gives us. I really like
studying the atonement, it helps us come closer to our Savior.
