Hola,

This week i was spoken to by an Apostle of the Lord, Richard G. Scott. He gave the fireside on tuesday and gave one of the most powerful testimonies i've ever heard, and ive heard some powerful testimonies. i'll provide a brief overview of his talk, first he stressed always having the ability to write down spirtual impressions when the come to us and to always be ready because we never know when they will come. He said this about 4 times that i counted, and hinted at it a few otehers so it really must be important. This hit me because earlier this week i had a good talk with my teacher hermano wilkes who mas o menos said the same thing. so i started carrying my journal around lately and i've seen the difference it makes. My journal entries have always been pretty lame cuz i just talk about what i did during the day so they were all the same but now its full of all my spiritual experiences or just thoughts about stuff like that. its really good, you all should consider doing the same. Elder Scott also talked about the divinity of our calls and how no call is issued without a spiritual prompting from an apostle, and they are all pretty close to the spirit so i felt good about that. The latter half of his talk was about what to do after the mission, he said to get married and to stop "hanging out" which was awkward because i like hanging out. haha he called it "idleness in flocks". haha He said that the most worthwhile thing we could do after our missions is to prayerfully seek out our eternal companions. he talked a lot about it which was strange so yeah i'll apply that later i guess... At the end of his talk, elder Scott invoked an apostolic blessing that as we prayerfully ponder and seek guidance, the spirit will whisper things that are strong and that we can use as support in missionary work and as we are prayerful and patient, you can find things to strengthen in our missions and our lives. he then proceeded to bear the most powerful testimony ever. you could tell that he knew christ lived and that he is head of this church. He's in charge.

We watched some of a talk by Elder Bednar about how do we know if our thoughts are promptings from the spirit. His answer "quit worrying about it!" He explained that if we are being a good boy/girl, trying our best, keeping our covenants then the lord can use us and we usually won't even know we are being prompted. I dont know if that made sense, im not as eloquent as elder bednar, also im tired... anyways elder bednar is awesome. I cant fit all the spiritual stuff i learned this week into one letter unfortunately and i think its just cuz i've been writing everything down. it helps. do it.

Anyways the language is coming nicely i hope, but i still dont know anything, i think... why do they have to talk so fast? its lame... but i can usually understand everything thats being said in our lessons and when our teacher speaks to us. but yeah Jared dont be to dissappointed in me if i cant banter with you... :/ so anyways i cant believe it but we are actually getting close to leaving the MTC. Scary but super exciting. we are getting our travel plans this week supposedly. my visa better go through...

I got to see Josh Tracy a lot and Rourke once. They both are doing well. good to see some familiar faces. I get to host this week, so maybe i'll see the wrights :) is anyone else coming in that im not remembering this wednesday? SO just an update on the MTC, everything is super overcrowded, its getting nuts up in here. they are cracking down on the zone leaders too, its our job to keep the residence hall under control... which has proven difficult... oh well i guess if loud residence halls is our only problem then we're doing well. (words of president larsen)so anyone ask grandpa if he knows that man i mentioned in my last letter? i forgot his name haha. I hope grandma Mary is gets well soon. send them both my love. how's everyone else doing? i got grandma sylvia's letter and enjoyed it. its hard to have time to write everyone back so dont judge me. i dont have kevin's address so i cant write him so tell him to write me. same with Nick Chow and Konnor. so thats all i have for this week. Hope siera had a good birthday!Love you all have a good week :)

PS tell me if jake is still alive...
